Summer Enrollment Jumps Nearly 29%, Marking Fifth Straight Semester of Growth

Enrollment has risen for the fifth semester in a row. As of June 2, the College enrolled 3,786 students for summer 2025, a 28.9% increase over last summer. Students have also registered for 3,749 more credit hours than a year ago, a 25% increase. This growth is driven in large part by increased enrollment in general education courses, including math, biology, English, psychology, and communication, subjects that prepare students to transfer to four-year colleges or universities. Congratulations Class of 2025

2,243 graduates were honored at the 2025 Commencement Ceremony, which was held on Saturday, May 17, at the Peoria Civic Center. Family members, faculty, staff, and community supporters filled the Exhibit Hall and joined virtually via livestream as the graduates were recognized for earning more than 2,389 degrees and certificates. Dr. Quirk-Bailey has served as president of ICC since July 2016 and leaves a legacy of transformational leadership focused on student success, equity, and workforce innovation. New Prison Education Program: the First in the Nation to Be Approved

Illinois Central College (ICC), the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Pekin, and the U.S. Department of Education (ED) are partnering to offer a new prison education program (PEP) for incarcerated individuals. ICC is proud to offer the first new PEP in a federal facility approved by ED.
