Upward Bound
Summer Bridge
The Summer Bridge component is for program participants who have graduated from high school and plan to attend college in the fall. The TRiO Upward Bound program pays for all expenses for graduates to take college course electives at Illinois Central College in the summer. In order to reach our goal of every one of our students enrolling in post secondary education, the Summer Bridge Program was created to ensure the students‘ success. The goal of the Summer Bridge Program is to provide all Upward Bound High School Seniors with the information and assistance necessary to make fully informed, well–educated choices when selecting and applying to colleges. In addition, it is also a goal of the Summer Bridge Program to secure financial aid and scholarships for all students accepted to post secondary institutions.
