Password Change

Login to the ICC Network from an on-campus PC
With the Windows Desktop displayed and no programs open, press and hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys on your keyboard and press the Delete key. A Windows NT Security dialog box is displayed. |

Click on the Change Password button at the bottom left
The Change Password dialog box is displayed. |

In the Old Password
Type your current password, which is last 4 digits of your social security number. Either press the Tab key once on the keyboard or click on the New Password: box. |

In the New Password
Type your new password
- Must be at least 4 characters long and a maximum of 35 characters long
- Can be all numbers, all letters, or a combination of both
- Cannot be the same as any of your previous 3 passwords
- Should be in all lower case, make sure Caps Lock is not set on the keyboard - passwords in NT are case sensitive

In the Confirm New Password
Retype exactly the same password you just keyed in the New Password: box above. Click OK. |

One of Two different possibilities now occurs
If the password is changed successfully, a Change Password window is displayed with the message "Your password has been changed"
- Click on OK and you're returned to the Windows NT Security dialog box
- Click on the Cancel button to return to the Windows Desktop
If you made a mistake in the User Name:, Domain:, Old Password:, New Password:, or Confirm New Password: boxes, a Logon Message window is displayed with an error message relating to which of the boxes is incorrect. Read this information carefully. Make sure Caps Lock is not set on the keyboard - passwords in NT are case sensitive. Click on the OK button and the Change Password dialog box is displayed again.

NOTE: The above procedure changes your password for logging into the ICC Network. It does not change your password for access to Blackboard (Online Courses.) Changing your password in Blackboard can be accomplished by logging in to Blackboard and going to the Personal Information link under Tools on the My Institution page.
