Mission
The IL PTAC at Illinois Central College provides government contracting services to Central Illinois businesses including manufacturers, engineers, and other businesses. Primary industries served include Manufacturing, Information Technology, Construction, and A & E Services and other Professional Services. The IL PTAC assists them in selling their products and services to government and large business prime contractor markets.
Advisory Board
The PTAC Advisory Board works to open additional opportunities for Central Illinois small businesses to be part of the bidding and award selection process for federal, state, and local government contracts. Initiatives include working in partnership with the ECHO (Exchanging Contacts Helps Opportunities) Government Resources Consortium and sponsoring training and quarterly networking events. Board members include representatives from large business, small business, legislative offices, and small business service providers.
Location
The Illinois PTAC at ICC is conveniently located on the Illinois Central College North campus at 5407 N. University, Arbor Hall, Suite 126, Peoria, Illinois. The IL PTAC Partners include the Heartland Partnership Family of Companies; Economic Development Council for Central Illinois, The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, Illinois Business Financial Services, and other economic development organizations. It is one of twelve centers funded by the Department of Defense and administered by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and hosted by Illinois Central College. The Center also partners with the Economic Development Council for Central Illinois to administer the ECHO Government Resources Consortium.
