Degrees Offered

Applied Science Degree
The Crime Scene Technology degree program is designed to prepare the student for employment as a crime scene technician, criminalist, evidence custodian or crime scene investigator.

This program has specific academic requirements and students are encouraged to work closely with their advisor. Many courses in the degree program have prerequisites that must be met prior to enrollment.

Certificate
The Certificate program is designed for the student who already has a bachelors or associate's degree and is seeking the specific skills to be a crime scene technician.

Students completing this program will have the skills required to process crime scene evidence and will be able to seek employment as a crime scene technician, criminalist, evidence technician, evidence custodian or crime scene investigator.

The technical courses required for the certificate are offered during the academic year and as part of the intensive training program offered during the summer sessions that make up the Criminal Justice Summer Institute.

Official transcripts from other institutions must be mailed directly from the institution to the Admissions and Records Office at ICC.

ICC encourages graduates of this program to seek membership and certification by professional organizations such as the International Association for Identification.
