Empowered Employee Series
How the Empowered Employee Series Helps Not every organization can or wants to maintain a full-time training department. We developed the Empowered Employee Series to assist organizations and their employees in improving performance and productivity. Designed to help employees sort through the everyday challenges of frontline work, the series covers ten topics. The topics can be taken individually, in "clusters", or as a whole series. Specifically, the Empowered Employee Series:
- Provides a cost-effective way to develop and improve frontline employee skills
- Provides a flexible way to provide the training you need
- Helps employees build a foundation for self-direction, dealing with change, and good communication (The "I Can" Cluster)
- Teaches employees how to work well with others, including how to find the right person as a 'mentor,' how to work with teams, how to solve problems in the work group, and what rights and responsibilities we have (The "We Can" Cluster)
- Develops employee attitudes and skills for organizational excellence, including presenting the right professional image, managing time well, and continuous improvement (The "Our Company Can" Cluster)
- Prepares managers to coach employees throughout the series of classes, whether employees enroll for one topic or all ten
We Schedule Classes Around Your Needs We'll deliver the workshops where and when you want them. You can send people to our downtown location or, if you prefer, we'll deliver the classes to you on site. Our schedule flexes to meet yours. Weekend or evening classes are no problem.
Creating a Connection for Success
Management studies show that the immediate supervisor has the greatest influence on how employees act and perform. Concepts learned in training often dissolve because supervisors don't expect or encourage employees to implement new ideas they've learned. That's where the Empowered Employee Series differs from other training programs. We've designed a special workshop for the direct supervisors of employees enrolled in the series. During "Coaching for Managers," a four-hour workshop, we teach supervisors how to coach, encourage, and participate in the frontline employee's learning. Now when the employee returns from training, the manager is fully equipped to make sure the employee's new skills become part of the everyday work routine.
Class Clusters
Employees relate to organizations in three key ways:
As an individual with personal beliefs, attitudes, and aspirations
As a member of a small workgroup
As a part of the larger whole organization
We’ve organized our sessions into 'class clusters' to address issues frontline employees encounter in each of these roles.
