For students who were enrolled in classes in the spring 2007 term or prior, your default (initial) password for the network, email and Blackboard is the last 4 digits of your social security number, ####. 

For students who have not attended ICC in the past, your default password is ICC followed by the last 5 digits of your social security number ICC#####.

Batch Enrollement
Instructions for Batch Enrolling students to a course in Blackboard. Step 1 - how to get a class roster in Peoplesoft, create text, Excel and PDF files from Peoplesoft. Step 2 - Editing and Uploading the Peoplesoft Text File to batch enroll students in a Blackboard course.

Request Batch Enrollment for a Blackboard Course - The Teaching & Learning staff would be happy to batch enroll students for you. You may submit this online form for each course you wish to have student batch enrolled.

Archiving & Recycling Blackboard Courses
Archiving (saving and backing up site content) and recycling (removing content to prepare
a site for a new term) will be necessary at the end of every term the course site is used.
  If a site is not going to be used in a near future term it should be archived and deleted from the server to conserve space.  Contact Patrice at phess@icc.edu or 694-5295 if you have any Blackboard sites to be deleted!

Illinois Central college currently uses Internet Explorer 6. Internet Explorer 7.0 has recently been released. If you are trying to access Blackboard using Internet Explorer 7.0, you will need to make some adjustments for Blackbaord to work properly.

Banners

To upload a banner to your course:

  1. Log in to Blackboard.
  2. Go to the Control Panel of your course.
  3. Go to Course Design.
  4. Select the Course Banner link.
  5. Use the Browse… button to locate the graphic file that you saved to your computer.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Return to the Announcements Page of your course site to view the banner.
