Surgical Technologist
Criteria for Admission
| Certificate | |
| 1 | Graduation from high school, or equivalent |
| 2 | Placement test scores into ENGL 110 and READ 115 |
| 3 | An ACT composite score of 18 or above and an ACT English score of 16 or above (tested prior to October 28, 1989. |
| 4 | At least a "C" average in courses taken at other colleges, in the case of transfer students |
| 5 | At least a "C" average in nine or more approved credit hours taken at ICC in the case of students not initially admissible to the program |
| 6 | One year high school biology or equivalent |
Required high school courses must be completed with at least a "C" grade.
A physical examination will be required upon admission to program along with a criminal background check.
Recommended High School Courses:
- Four years of English/ Speech
- One year of mathematics
- Two years of biological science (Students are advised to complete BIOL 145, BIOL 146, and HLTH 121 prior to enrolling in the SURTK courses)
