Health Careers
Imagine the possibilities available to you as you pursue your career path in your selected Health Career. Our department offers 18 Health Careers Programs. Some of the courses of study lead to the Associate in Applied Science degree while others lead to a Certificate of completion. Devoted, dedicated and disciplined are characteristics of good health professionals. Because of this, the entrance criteria and courses of study can be very exacting and demanding.
Each of us on the Health Careers staff is eager to help you make your career decisions according to your abilities and goals, develop your class schedule, encourage you when things get rough, and reassure you that a wise decision toward a fulfilling career was made.

Applications for health Career Programs are accepted at all times but the following deadlines apply:
FALL program deadline is January 15
SPRING program deadline is October 1
Continuing Health Education
The new Nurse Refresher Course is a "hybrid" offering - combining internet study with experiences in the ICC Health Skills Lab and at an area hospital facility. It was specifically designed for inactive nurses (both LPNs and RNs) who have allowed their licenses to expire. This course is also available to nurses who have not allowed their licenses to expire, but wish to refresh their knowledge base. The goal is to allow nurses to update their theoretical knowledge and clinical skills so that they may comfortably move into the nursing workforce.
