Clinical Laboratory Technician
Criteria for Admission
| 1 | Graduation from high school, or equivalent: High School recommendations: 4 years English/communications; 2 years algebra; 1 year geometry; 1 year biological science; 1 year chemistry |
| 2 | Appropriate ENGL 110 and READ 115 placement test scores; |
| 3 | An ACT composite score of 20 or above (18 or above if tested prior to October 28, 1989) |
| 4 | At least a "C" average in courses taken at other colleges, in the case of transfer students |
| 5 | At least a "C" average in 18 or more approved semester hours taken at Illinois Central College, in the case of students not initially admissible to the program |
| 6 | One year of high school chemistry or equivalent |
| 7 | MAT 108 with a grade of "C" or better or a math placement test score into MATH 115 |
| 8 | BIOL 140 or (BIOL 145 and BIOL 146) with a grade of "C" or better |
| 9 | Mandatory observation in a clinical laboratory or CLT student laboratory. Required high school courses must be completed with at least a "C" grade. A physical examination will be required upon admission to the program. |
