Getting Started

Earn a GED

If you do not have a high school diploma, you can prepare for the General Educational Development Tests (GED®) by taking free GED preparation classes offered by Illinois Central College.

Our GED classes cover all subject areas found on the GED Tests: Language Arts - Writing, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts - Reading, and Mathematics. In addition, students review for the GED Constitution Test. The Constitution Test is a required part of the GED Test in Illinois and covers the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. and Illinois Constitutions, and the U.S. flag. Students are given an opportunity to take the GED Constitution Test while they are enrolled in our GED classes.

Illinois Central College does not administer the GED® Tests. For GED Tests information, visit Local GED® Tests Information or call the GED Office at (309) 694-5240.

For more information, visit General Educational Development (GED®) Classes at ICC website
