There is a lot more to college than going to class... (Although going to class helps...) At ICC, we offer a range of extra curricular options for students to participate in the college scene outside the classroom.
Student Activities Office (309) 694-5201
Events like “Rock the Courtyard,” a local band competition, and the Second City Improve Comedy Show take place each semester. The Student Activities Office also offers a dynamic leadership series and encourages you to give back to the community through volunteer opportunities.
Student Organizations (309) 694-5201
At ICC, we have over 40 student organizations. Your student can meet people who share similar interests by getting involved in a student organization. Students can test their skill in the Computer Gaming Association, challenge their brains at a College Bowl tournament, or dig into the meaning of life with the members of the Philosophy Club. Clubs related to career development—such as Skills USA and the Horticulture Club, are also available.
Athletics (309) 694-5426
Nine sport teams give ICC students the option to be a student and an athlete at the same time. If your student wants to continue some serious play after high school, have your student contact the team coach.
Intramural Sports (309) 694-5201
Students who love sports can get a group of friends together to enter a flag football tournament or play a round of disc golf, just for fun.
Music, Theater, Art (309) 694-5114
Does your student enjoy spending time in the spotlight? At ICC, your student can audition for a role in a play, sing in a choir, exhibit artwork in the Student Art Gallery, join the ICC Forensics Team, or learn to make pottery.
