Tuition Waiver
Full-time employees may have their tuition waived for credit courses taken at Illinois Central College for less than twelve (12) credit hours (may not be full-time students). Unemancipated children and spouses may have their in district tuition waived for credit courses. The employee must claim the child for income tax purposes to be eligible for the tuition waiver.

Educational Assistance Program
In addition to waiver provisions, Illinois Central College will permit eligible full-time staff who have completed at least one year of full-time service to attend job-related classes on a shared time basis during an employee's regular work day.

One-half the time required for class will be with pay. The other one-half will be without pay or may be charged to the employee's accumulated vacation time, or if none has accrued, to available personal leave time.

Tuition Reimbursement
Funds are available in the College's 1998-99 budget to continue the Tuition Reimbursement program. The College will accept requests for reimbursement to cover a portion of the cost of full-time regular Faculty, Classified, Professional Supervisory and Support, and Administrative staff who attend classes at accredited colleges and universities. Currently, a reimbursement of $42 per credit hour, up to sixteen (16) credit hours per academic year may be granted. Reimbursement will be made for approved classes after the final passing grade is received.

Health Services
Registered Nurses are available for emergency situations and consultations for other illnesses.

Child Care Center
Excellent child care facility is supervised by full-time staff and students in the Child Development Program. Care is provided for children from two (2) to five (5) years of age. There is a fee charged for the service. Applications are necessary and available from the Child Care Center.

Public Safety
Public Safety officers are one duty twenty-four (24) hours a day. In addition to ensuring students and staff a safe environment, Public Safety offers assistance to motorists having difficulties including dead batteries and keys locked in the car.

Tax Sheltered Annuities
Employees have the opportunity to save for the future and save current tax dollars at the same time through a systematic tax deferred salary reduction which is handled through automatic payroll deduction.
