Wellness Works
General Information
Wellness Works is a point-based wellness program designed to encourage ALL Illinois Central College employees (full- and part-time) and retirees to participate in wellness activities throughout the year.
Wellness Works is a comprehensive program coordinated through Health Services. Participants receive points for:
- Exercising
- Attending Wellness Works sponsored seminars
- Participating in Wellness Works sponsored health screenings and programs (miscellaneous activities posted on log of activities)
- Annual physical, dental, and vision exams and other recommended health screenings
By participating in these wellness activities, programs and screenings, and submitting proper documentation in the scheduled timeframe, an employee/retiree will be awarded points. The “Wellness Points” earned throughout the year add up to a cash reward!
What’s The Pay-off If I Do This?
The most obvious pay-off is improved health and well-being; however, participants also receive CASH! At the end of the program year, those who have participated in the Wellness Works activities and submitted proper documentation will have their points totaled. The number of Wellness Points an employee/retiree earns for the year is then converted directly into their cash reward as listed in the table below. The rewards for 2012 will range from $25 to $200. Each participant receives cash based on the number of points they have earned! Participants must be active ICC employees/retirees at the time of the pay out to receive the cash reward.
25-49 Points: $25.00
50-74 Points: $50.00
75-99 Points: $75.00
100-124 Points: $100.00
125-149 Points: $125.00
150-174 Points: $150.00
175-199 Points: $175.00
200 or more Points: $200.00
Getting Started
Wellness Works 2012 will officially start Sunday, January 1, 2012. Official time of participation this year is January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012
A Log of Activities (2012) and the point value for each activity is available to download. If you don’t have computer access, just contact Health Services, 5475, and we will be happy to send you a copy. Please refer to this log throughout the year so you can take full advantage of all the opportunities to acquire points. We encourage you to submit documentation any time throughout the year. Be sure to watch the Wellness Works website, eNews, NOW (News On Wellness quarterly newsletter), and the Wellness Works bulletin board (outside of Room 338C) throughout the year for all of the latest information (including seminar dates and times, upcoming health screenings info, and deadline date reminders). In addition, posters and flyers are generally posted at the North Campus, Downtown Campus, and South Campus.
