GENERAL HOUSEKEEPER
Description
Illinois Central College is accepting applications for a part-time housekeeper to work up to 29 hours per week on first shift; starting salary: $11.05 per hour.
BASIC DUTIES
Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned. Characteristic duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: vacuuming carpets and sweeping, dusting and mopping floors; spot cleaning floor coverings, walls, doors and window glass; dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures; emptying and relining wastebaskets; cleaning drinking fountains; cleaning restrooms and replenishing supplies; picking up trash and refuse and depositing in compactor; stocking custodial supplies in work areas; assisting during emergency situations or hazardous conditions on a voluntary basis; assisting custodians; training housekeepers as needed; and performing general set-up work as assigned.

Qualifications
Completion of high school diploma or equivalent with six months or more of direct experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with one or more years of related experience. Manual dexterity; physical ability to lift and carry safely a minimum of 50 pounds.
