Worked for ICC for a total of 6 years. In the past, I have worked for ICC automotive program at Canton prison. For the last 5 years, I have been an instructor and the coordinator for the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology program. Much of my training for my position at the Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology program was through Caterpillar Inc.
Because a good open portion of our program is "hands-on" training on heavy equipment, I feel our program has had great success with our "open" teaching approach. We incorporate a mix of structured classes and smaller lab groups that are semi-independent. Through this style, I feel that students become more comfortable with openly sharing their ideas and real-life experiences witht their fellow classmates on a daily basis both during class and during lab. This also allows the students more one-on-one time with instructors to intensify their learning process.
During the summer, I enjoy boating. I work on trucks and classic cars all year round, and in the fall, I spend my time at football games (specifically the Pekin Dragons). My latest hobby is that I have taken up golfing.
