The philosophy of the Intercultural Diversity Series is a simple one. We do not train; we educate. When well-meaning and intelligent people are given the necessary intercultural communication skills that allow them to interact positively with those different from themselves, they do so. This results in a more comfortable climate for all employees and better interpersonal and work relationships.
Of the six workshops, five workshops are designed for all employee groups. The seventh workshop is designed only for those involved in the hiring process. Each workshop is designed to expand the intercultural knowledge base and develop specific intercultural communication skill sets. All the workshops are interactive; involved participants are a must with this workshop format. Although a single workshop might sound appealing, obtaining the critical skills required to improve the intercultural climate demands both time and a real commitment to the situation. The most ideal way to acquire the intercultural communication skills would be the six workshops format. With this format the workshops would occur every two weeks, and each work shops would last for approximately three hours. However, if time is a critical factor, there are two alternate modes of presentation. The series can be condensed into three five hour workshops or two seven and one half hour workshops.
Who can benefit from these workshops? Any organization, business or institution can improve both its internal environment and its external profile through these workshops. The end result can be a win-win situation for all involved.
