Nurse Consultant Services
The Child Care Connection and Tazewell County Health Department have formed a partnership to support the Healthy Child Care Illinois Child Care Nurse Consultant Program. The program is designed to improve quality in child care by providing health and safety education and support to those caring for young children. The primary responsibility of the Child Care Nurse Consultant is to bridge the gap between child care providers and child health experts by offering many services, such as:
- Offering referrals and resources
- On-site Health and Safety Programs for Children [pdf]
- Policy and procedure development
- Health and Safety Programs for Child Care Staff and Parents [pdf]
- Consultations with child care providers and parents
- Answer any health or safety questions/concerns
- Promote quality child care
- Nurse's Notes a bi-monthly publication
