State Initiatives
The Illinois Network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies administers several statewide initiatives built around providing and maintaining quality in early childhood. These initiatives include:
Gateways to Opportunity Scholarship Program is an individual-based scholarship opportunity for practitioners working in the field of Early Care and Education (ECE).
Great START is a wage supplement program that rewards eligible early care and education practitioners in DCFS licensed childcare centers, family/group family child care providers for receiving higher education and for remaining at their current place of employment.
Illinois Trainers Network consists of hundreds of qualified presenters and also offers curriculum training for individuals interested in presenting.
Gateways to Opportunity is a statewide support network designed to provide guidance, encouragement and recognition to individuals and programs who serve young children.
