Electronics Repair

Program Information:
The Electronics Repair certificate prepares individuals to enter employment as beginning electronics repairmen in industrial plants, the electronic communication media, or consumer electronics businesses. Further specialization, through on-the-job training and/or supplementary courses at the College, will usually be necessary after the graduate enters employment. Apprentices from Caterpillar, Inc. may be able to transfer credit to this program. Further information may be obtained from the department office. This certificate program represents the first year of the Electronics Technology program, plus ELCTK 117, which may be taken during the summer.

Admission to the Program:
The applicant for admission to this curriculum should have a background including geometry and two years of high school algebra. Students must complete basic skills placement testing before admission into this program.
