Data Entry Clerk
Certificate (Certificate Program) - 7 Credit Hours
The mission of the Data Entry Clerk certificate is to prepare students who wish to be employed in the area of data entry utilizing numeric and alphanumeric keypads, with the knowledge, speed, and accuracy necessary for entry-level employment.
Admission to the Program:
Students are expected to be computer literate, to know the Windows operating system, and be able to touch type. If this is not the case, TYPE 120 is a prerequisite for entering this program.

* Enroll in TYPE 130 to earn credit in one of the following courses: TYPE 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, or 145.
Contact the Business, Hospitality, and Information Systems Department for information regarding the TYPE 120 placement exam and the TYPE 121 proficiency exam.
Students should submit a "Petition for Graduation" after completing 5 hours. The form is available in the Admissions/Records Office, L211. The graduation fee should be paid in the Student Accounting Office, L210.
