Illinois Central College provides three approaches to the study of communication - the General Communication Studies Option, the Mass Communication Option and the Public Relations Option. As a natural outgrowth and extension of communication classes, Illinois Central College´s Forensic Union/Speech Team offers interested students the opportunity to participate in an intercollegiate forensic program, which has achieved several national championships.
