To Become a Member of the Alumni
As an Upsilon Mu member who either transfers or graduates from
Illinois Central College, you are automatically an alumnus of
Phi Theta Kappa. However, the Lambda Alumni Association allows
you to still be involved no matter where it is you go. Because
Lambda serves as a support system for the active chapter, we help
them with their fundraising & service efforts along with participating
in fellowship events. To join, the membership fee is $10 each
year, an amount that goes to the Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Transfer
Scholarship. With this membership fee, you will receive a bi-monthly
newsletter & can participate at your leisure in various activities
sponsored by either the alumni or active chapter. All of the activities
we sponsor are designed to be low-key & involvement depends
entirely on you. By being a member you can help
- encourage scholastic excellence at ICC, within the community,
& abroad
- raise scholarship monies for future members
- guide & mentor Upsilon Mu officers & members
- preserve the Phi Theta Kappa history for future members
If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please
call Glenda Leas at (309) 694-5201.
