Entry into the program is competitive and based on ACT or SAT scores and high school rank. A faculty-professional staff committee selects candidates for recommendaton in the program.
A composite ACT score of 27 (26 if test was taken prior to October 28, 1989) or a minimum SAT score of 1220 on the SAT if taken in 2004 or before and qualify with a score of 1820 on the SAT if taken in 2005 or after
Current college students must also have a grade point average of 3.35 or better on a 4.0 scale
To remain in the program, Honors students must maintain a GPA of 3.35 or better and must enroll in the Honors sections of general education courses, usually two sections a semester
The Honors Program is limited to full-time, in-district students who have not yet earned an Associate's or Bachelor's degree
