The email function allows you access to the instructor’s email address, as well the email addresses of classmates. To send an email:
Click on Collaboration in the left navigation, then choose Send Email
Click on the user group you would like to contact or choose Select Users and check specific recipients
Type the Subject and Message of your email
To add an attachment > Click Add, then Browse > Find the file, then click Open > Click Submit to attach the file
Send your email by clicking Submit again
A copy of the email is sent to your email address as well
Note: If you use Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL or another email provider other than ICC, you may have problems receiving instructor email sent through Blackboard. The way the messages are sent is often perceived as SPAM. To ensure messages are delivered properly, enter your instructor’s email address (username@icc.edu) into your personal address lists or lists of trusted email senders. This should result in the messages being delivered and not being sent to the junk email or spam folder.
