Twelve yes or no questions to assist evaluate whether or not you are ready for online learning.
You are if you:
- Have as much time if not more to commit to an online course as you would a traditional class (Online classes rarely take less time than a traditional course and may, in fact, take more time. The greatest benefit to online learning is the flexibility of not having to be in an actual classroom on a routine basis.)
- Can perform basic computer operations that enable you to use a computer efficiently and effectively
- Have access to a computer with an Internet Browser and a word processing program
- Understand that online courses may require campus visits or proctored exams - consult your online instructor for more details
- Learn and understand through reading
- Communicate effectively through writing
- Are a self-motivated and self-disciplined learner
