Blackboard Support
Blackboard Interface
Each time you login to Blackboard, the “Blackboard @ ICC” tab welcomes you to the site and displays current course information. This page is the threshold to all online content for your courses. The layout and contents of this page may be adjusted to suit your preferences.
Descriptions of Blackboard Contents
Page Tabs:
- Blackboard@ICC (initial screen): contains all the features listed below
- Courses: displays a list of your courses
- Academic Web Resources: provides helpful academic support links, categorized by discipline
- Additional tabs are displayed in the faculty view, find more information in the using blackboard for faculty section
My Announcements:
Beneath course titles, you can click on a list of hyperlinks to that course's current announcements.
My Courses:
This section of the page contains a list of all the courses in which you are enrolled or teaching. To enter a course, click on it's title.
Tools:
The quick links in this section bring together the general information from all of your courses. This section includes Announcements, Calendar, Tasks, View Grades, Send email, and Personal Information.
My Calendar:
This section outlines events set for that day. Click on the event title to see further information on the event. Click on the "more" to add, modify or remove an event.
My Tasks:
Set personal or course related tasks for yourself or your students in this section. Click on a specific task to get more information or click on "more" to add, modify or remove a task.
