Multi-Skilled Technical Career Program

The Multi- Skilled Technical Career Program will help students develop a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in both manufacturing and process industries. Students study mechanical systems, basic electronics, circuits and other related subjects.

This new certificate program has been developed to meet the high demand for technicians at Advanced Technology Services in Peoria, Illinois and other ATS facilities around the country. The program is 42 semester hours and can be completed in 40 weeks. Credit hours accrued in this program may be applied toward a two-year associate’s degree in Applied Science.

STEPS TO APPLY

  1. Print and fill out the ICC application for this specific program and the Release Form. If you have any questions about the application or the release form, please call (309)694-5510.

  2. Date, sign and mail your ICC Application and Release Form to:

    Current ICC students should not reapply, but should call (309) 694-5510 to request a change in curriculum.

  3. Call the ICC Financial Aid department at (309) 694-5311. They can help you through the processes for applying for tuition payment assistance.

  4. Call Crystal West at (309) 694-5345 to schedule a time for you to complete the COMPASS Placement Test for the ICC - ATS program. If you live outside of central Illinois, we will find a Community College testing site near you and set up an appointment for you. There may be a small fee at other colleges.

  5. You will receive your placement score the day you complete the COMPASS test. The placement scores will be used to verify that you have basic skills to be successful in this program. You will receive advice from ICC on how to raise scores that fall below minimum levels.

  6. Letters and additional information will be provided to students who qualify for the next step.

  7. ATS will contact students for interviews and make the final selection for participants in the program and begin the enrollment process.

  8. Students who do not qualify for the ATS program will receive a letter inviting them to explore other technical training options at ICC.
