Coaching Staff

Sue Sinclair, Head Coach

Sue Sinclair head coach, begins her 20th season with the ICC volleyball team, with a record of 661-315. Her teams have qualified for Nationals 12 years with a 4th place finish in 2008. She has coached 19 All-Americans and sent 58 athletes on scholarship to play for four year institutions. Coach Sinclair has served in many administrative roles for volleyball nationwide. She is a two time past president of the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Association and past board member of the USA Volleyball Board of Directors and the American Volleyball Coaches Association Board of Directors representing all two year institutions. She was inducted into the NJCAA Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004. She also serves as ICC Athletic Director. Sue played for Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, as the Salukis setter, and recorded 2,041 career assists. She was an All-Gateway Conference selection twice and was a GTE Academic All-American.

Traci Reach, Assistant Coach/Trainer

Traci Reach assistant coach, has been with the Cougars for 18 years. She played volleyball and softball for John A. Logan College. She completed her bachelors at SIU-Carbondale and has a master’s degree from ISU in athletic training and a master’s from Bradley University in physical therapy. She is employed by Midwest Orthopaedic Center and also serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for all ICC athletic teams.

Trish Guinee, Assistant Coach

Trish Guinee has been an assistant volleyball coach at ICC for 21 years. She has also coached at the middle school and high school levels. As a competitor, she played on an ISU team that finished eighth in the nation. Trish has her doctorate in mathematics education from Illinois State University and is the mathematics coordinator for District 150.

Samantha Rennau, Assistant Coach

Samantha Rennau assistant coach, is entering her 5th year. She was a former two time All-American for ICC in 2000 & 2001 before accepting a scholarship to play for Bowling Green State University (2002-04) where she was captain her senior year. She also competed and traveled with Athletes In Action the summer of 2001 to Southeast Asia. Samantha earned her degree in Education and was an Academic All-American. Currently playing doubles in the sand with a 2009 summer Championship for the Barefoot Wine Series AVP-Next and Runner Up in Chicago EVP Pro Tourney.

Brent Fox, Assistant Coach

Brent Fox assistant coach, is entering his first year with the ICC squad. He played four years collegiately for Moody Bible Institute and then professionally in the sand for two years after graduating. Brent also coached for three years with Illinois Valley Central High School and has four years of teaching/coaching clinics and private lessons. He currently works for Peoria Area Youth for Christ.

Jennifer Gorham,

Jennifer Gorham assistant coach, is entering her first full year. She was a middle hitter for ICC from 2000-2002. As a starter, Jennifer helped the squad finish 11th at the NJCAA Division I nationals in 2001. She then completed her education in nursing at Allen College and currently works at Methodist ICU.

Kelly Schertz, Assistant Coach

Kelly Schertz assistant coach, is entering her first year with the Cougars. She was a former cougar (1998) before going on to play at Western Illinois University (99-00). Kelly was co-captain her senior year at WIU and earned academic all conference honors. After graduating from WIU in Physical Education, she taught and coached at Farmington High School (03-09).
