May 21, 2009 The Cougars dropped their total team score by two strokes for the second straight day, posting a four-player score of 305. ICC is 57-over par as a team and trails first-place South Mountain (Ariz.) Community College by 53 shots. The Cougars from the Arizona desert shot a 293 are 4-over for the tournament, one shot better than Darton (Ga.) College, which shot a 288 on Thursday. John A. Logan is in third in the team race at 11-over after a 295 in the third round. Black Hawk shot a 300 and is tied for 11th. Ryan Brown led ICC with a 2-over 74. Brown’s at 12 over and tied for 46th individually. Cole Garrison and Kyle McGee both shot 76s and Sam Lee had a 79. Nate Deakin’s 82 was not counted in Thursday’s total. Brian Affleck of Potomac (W.Va.) State shot a 4-under 68 and tops the leaderboard at 6-under 210. Affleck has a two-shot lead over David Griffin of Rend Lake. The tournament concludes on Friday. |
