KEOKUK, IA — Illinois Central College freshman guards Haley Jones and Taylor Welch combined for 52 points Wednesday night to lead the Cougars past Southeastern Iowa, 108-56.

Welch hit six treys and led ICC with 27 points, while Jones added five 3-pointers and four steals for 25 points.

The Cougars hit 17 treys overall to improve to 4-0.

"We've got a lot of good shooters and scorers, and we do expect a large offensive output," ICC coach Steve Garber said. "Maybe not this on an average.

"But (SEI) was down in numbers tonight and we tired them out in the first half."

All 10 Cougars who played scored, while only seven played for SEI.

Janelle Hensold (15 points) and Brittany Trammell (10 points, seven rebounds) also scored in double figures for the Cougars, ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division II poll.
