Fitness Center

Regardless of your age or present physical condition, working out at the Illinois Central College Fitness Center will help you attain total body conditioning. The Center's multi-station Aerobic Super Circuit program, patterned after Olympic Training Centers, includes the use of weight machines in multiple repetitions to combine aerobic training with the benefits of circuit weight training.

You will experience increased muscle strength and tone, as well as improved heart and lung function as you continue your Aerobic Super Circuit exercise program.

Joining the Fitness Center
If you are interested in using the ICC Fitness Center, you can enroll for Phys. Ed 180, followed by Phys. Ed 181, 182, and 183. Once you have completed all four courses you may enroll for a non-credit REC course that provides you with our health club membership.

Once enrolled in Phys. Ed 180 you will undergo an orientation and fitness assessment session that will introduce you to the center's equipment and you will learn about your personal fitness program. The fitness center utilizes the the Aerobics Super Circuit, which incorporates 11 pieces of resistance equipment and 11 stationary bicycles.
