BaseballAway Games Hotel List Postseason Honors for Baseball Recruits Pekin outfielder Jared Pyatt was the only Peoria-area player to earn mention on the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association's 24-player Class 4A all-state team. Pyatt hit. 472 with 10 home runs, 12 doubles and 31 RBIs to lead the Dragons to the Mid-Illini Conference title. Also earning all-state honors from the IHSBCA was Illinois Valley Central left-handed pitcher Brock Adcock, who was the only Peoria-area player on the Class 2A team. Adcock finished his senior year with an 8-1 record and a 1.32 ERA for the Grey Ghosts. Finally, on the IHSBCA’s Class 1A all-state team, ICC was represented by Zach Jacobs of Peoria Heights. Jacobs hit .589 for the Patriots and was also 5-3 with a 1.58 ERA on the mound. Among out-of-state recruits, incoming infielder Andrew Hagel of Bentonville (Ark.) earned Class 7A all-state honors after hitting .476 for Arkansas’ top-ranked team in that division. ICC is also well-represented in the Illinois Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game. Pyatt will be joined in the game by Limestone pitcher T.R. Dunne, who posted a 7-3 record with 103 strikeouts for the Rockets. Pyatt also earned first-team all-area honors from the Peoria Journal Star. He was joined on the first team by Limestone outfielder/pitcher Zeke Beckman (.354, 9 home runs, 28 RBIS) and East Peoria catcher/infielder Alex Gutierrez (.385, 8 home runs, 44 RBIs).
