Business Partnerships
Mechanical Engineering Technology students have had internships with:

- Advanced Cad Cam Services
- Daxcon

- LR Nelson
- UNR Rohn
- Komatsu Mining Systems
- US Army Corps of Engineers
- Case New Holland
The MET faculty takes requests from students as to the type of work and
the location that the student prefers. The faculty makes contact with
companies of the student's choice. If the companies agree to take on an
intern then the faculty helps the student prepare resumes and get ready
for the interview. Once the internship position is secured, the faculty
visits the student on site at least twice during the internship. Interns
attend a class at the college during the internship to gain timely instruction
on how to succeed in a professional job and to share experiences with
other interns. Each intern hosts a field trip to their job site so all
interns share their experience with all other interns. Intern salaries
range from $8 to $10 per hour.
