Electronics Repair Program Description
The Electronics Repair certificate prepares individuals to enter employment
as beginning electronics repairmen in industrial plants, the electronic
communication media, or consumer electronics businesses. Further specialization,
through on-the-job training and/or supplementary courses at the College,
will usually be necessary after the graduate enters the workforce. The
prospective student to this curriculum should have a background including
geometry and two years of high school algebra.
This certificate program represents the first year of the Electronics
Technology degree program, plus ELCTK 117, which may be taken during the
summer. Students must complete the basic skills placement test before
admission into this program.
